The Co-op, Winslow

The local Co-op in Winslow required an extension at the back of the store, to include brand-new premises with an outdoor car park.

Principal contractors Kingfisher Construction Services assigned groundworks and structural works to the team at Eugen Phoenix Solution. We began with deep excavation of a 5m deep dugout to install the 3-tier soakaway system for drainage. The building was constructed from reinforced concrete walls and a steel framework. A floating finish was achieved with slab work, layered with insulation and floor screed resulting in a smooth surface finish.

Outside, a car park was surfaced with asphalt, as well as a concrete ramp walkway into the premises. An outdoor timber enclosure was erected for a bin storage unit.
